The Queer Self Care Mental Therapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team in a full-time, remote capacity. Work Environment\n

This role is fully remote, offering the flexibility necessary for maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Our telehealth platform enables therapists to conduct sessions using secure video conferencing tools that comply with HIPAA regulations, ensuring client confidentiality and comfort. The work hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with some flexibility required to meet the diverse needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health evaluations to assess clients’ trauma histories and collaboratively determine appropriate treatment plans.

• Design and implement personalized therapeutic programs focused on healing from trauma and building resilience, using evidence-based practices.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to help clients effectively process their trauma and develop vital coping strategies.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for each client.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies to ensure client safety and stability.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping skills, and available support resources to empower their recovery journey.
\n
• Maintain meticulous documentation consistent with legal and ethical standards to ensure accurate client records.
\n
• Engage actively in team case consultations, regular team meetings, and ongoing professional development to enhance therapeutic practices.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in trauma treatment to continually refine therapeutic techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with clients who have experienced trauma, including individuals facing the repercussions of PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociation. Our emphasis on trauma-informed care ensures that therapists approach each client with empathy and understanding, recognizing the profound impact trauma can have on mental health. Your role will be crucial in creating a healing space where clients feel safe and supported as they navigate their recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, mental health counseling, psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

• A current, valid state license as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or licensed psychologist.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in trauma-related therapy is highly preferred.

• A comprehensive understanding of trauma-informed therapy techniques and resilience-building practices.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, nonjudgmental approach.

• The ability to remain composed and supportive in high-stress scenarios and manage crisis interventions effectively.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and various software applications to enhance service delivery.

• A collaborative spirit and a strong capacity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• In-depth experience applying trauma-focused therapy modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Prior experience working with diverse populations, particularly within the LGBTQ+ community, is an asset.

Compensation and Benefits\n
