Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate students’ backgrounds, trauma histories, and current needs, facilitating tailored treatment interventions.

• Utilize evidence-based psychological interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to promote healing.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that provide students with tools to process trauma, develop coping mechanisms, and enhance emotional regulation.

• Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals and educational staff to ensure integrated care and consistent support for students.

• Provide crisis intervention services and emotional support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring students feel safe and supported.

• Educate students and their families regarding trauma responses and coping strategies while offering guidance on community resources.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential case documentation in line with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health records (EHR).

• Participate in team consultations, ongoing training, and professional development initiatives to stay current with best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Therapist in a school setting, you will work primarily with students who have experienced trauma, including those dealing with PTSD, anxiety, and other behavioral issues stemming from adverse life experiences. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Valid licensure as an LCSW, LCP, LCPC, or LCMFT in the state of Kansas.

• A minimum of two years of relevant post-licensure experience, preferably in trauma-focused care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary range for this position is USD 80,000 to 104,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
