The Outlet Youth & Family Support Counseling Center is actively seeking a Licensed Mental Health Therapist specializing in trauma to join our dedicated team in a fully remote capacity. Key Responsibilities\n

Your role as a Mental Health Therapist will involve:

• Conducting thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient's unique trauma history and treatment needs.

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience, ensuring that each plan is tailored to the specific challenges faced by the patient.

• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing and coping.

• Delivering engaging individual and group therapy sessions focused on processing trauma, developing coping mechanisms, and fostering a sense of safety.

• Collaborating closely with other mental health professionals to provide integrated care, making referrals when necessary to support patient progress.

• Offering immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring that patients receive timely assistance during their most challenging moments.

• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and the resources available to them, promoting informed choices in their care.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, ensuring the integrity of patient records.

• Participating in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities focused on enhancing trauma-informed practices.

• Continuously staying informed of the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on working with individuals who have experienced trauma, including but not limited to children, adolescents, and their families. You will play a crucial role in helping them navigate the intricate journey of recovery, providing both therapeutic interventions and a supportive presence throughout the process.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
\n
• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and expertise in trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications to maintain patient records and notes.

Preferred Experience\n

While diverse clinical backgrounds are welcome, we prefer candidates with:

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, particularly focused on trauma-focused therapies.

• Demonstrated experience leading trauma-focused interventions and therapeutic sessions.

Compensation and Benefits\n
