Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' unique trauma histories and determine appropriate treatment strategies.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience-building, adapting approaches based on patient progress.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process trauma and develop effective coping strategies.

• Engage in collaborative efforts with psychiatrists and an interdisciplinary team to ensure integrated care and comprehensive support for each patient.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, helping patients manage acute distress.

• Educate patients and their families about the effects of trauma, coping mechanisms, and available resources for enhanced support.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring accurate and timely records of patient progress.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as either an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to client interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with varied backgrounds in trauma-focused therapies and interventions will be considered. Compensation and Benefits\n
