Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Developing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating individualized treatment programs for clients with acute or chronic mental health issues.

• Providing outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups while utilizing evidence-based methodologies.
\n
• Conducting thorough intake assessments and preparing comprehensive treatment plans that include goal-setting and strategies for progress, along with ongoing case documentation.

• Participating in interdisciplinary staff meetings to discuss treatment interventions and client progress, ensuring a cohesive plan of care.

• Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare providers for prescribing and managing psychotropic medications within your scope of practice.

• Utilizing community resources to refer clients and their families to external services to further enhance their treatment outcomes.

• Providing education and support to clients' families as necessary to facilitate treatment adherence and understanding of psychological interventions.

• Engaging in departmental program development and participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.

• Documenting any safety concerns and cooperating with mandated reporting agencies as required by law.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure in California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
\n
• A National Provider Identifier (NPI) at the time of hire.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience utilizing the DSM-V for diagnostic purposes and familiarity with a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with clients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

• A solid understanding of local and state regulatory requirements related to mental health services and patient confidentiality.

• A background in supervising or mentoring junior staff such as Post Masters Fellows and Associate Counselors, if applicable.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 122,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
