This position offers the flexibility of remote work while primarily serving an outpatient office that caters to mental health needs within the community. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will engage with clients virtually, but occasionally may participate in sessions at community facilities. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and crisis interventions for clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific circumstances of each client.

• Provide group therapy sessions focused on coping strategies and community reintegration for clients managing severe mental illness or substance use challenges.

• Collaborate weekly with a clinical supervisor to receive guidance and support, enhancing your therapeutic approaches and client outcomes.

• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with legal and organizational standards, ensuring accountability and quality care.

• Participate actively in interdisciplinary case conferences and treatment planning to coordinate care with other health providers.

• Stay updated on the latest developments in mental health practices and contribute to program improvements and statistical reporting.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with adults who have experienced incarceration, as well as those struggling with behavioral health issues, substance use disorders, and severe mental health conditions. Understanding the complexities of this population is crucial in delivering effective interventions. Your work will play a significant role in reducing recidivism by facilitating access to necessary mental health services and promoting recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A valid license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Washington.

• A Master’s degree or Doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of five years of full-time, paid, professional experience providing direct client care within a behavioral health setting.

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated expertise in performing both assessments and treatments for individuals with complex behavioral issues and histories of substance use.

• Experience working in correctional health services, mental health clinics, or similar environments will be advantageous.

• Prior involvement with inpatient care or related mental health services will be considered a strong asset.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
