The Teens Advocate Program & Mental Counseling is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our dynamic team. This position offers a primarily remote work setting, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while accessing our outpatient office resources as necessary. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations to develop individualized therapy strategies tailored to each client’s unique situation.

• Providing evidence-based therapy techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused short therapy, to individuals, couples, and families.
\n
• Facilitating therapeutic support groups that address common mental health issues relevant to our client population.
\n
• Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers and educational professionals, to provide comprehensive care and treatment plans.
\n
• Maintaining precise and current clinical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards while ensuring confidentiality.
\n
• Engaging in ongoing professional development through workshops and training to remain abreast of the latest in mental health research and practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with youth and families facing a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflicts, and substance misuse. Many of our clients may come from underserved communities, highlighting the importance of empathy and cultural competence in your therapeutic approach. You will play a vital role in bridging access to care and making a lasting positive impact on their mental health journey.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
\n
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Washington State.
\n
• Strong knowledge of legal and ethical standards relevant to counseling practice.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with diverse clientele.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a healthcare team.

• Computer literacy, particularly with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
