Administrative Assistant

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Administrative Assistant role based in Torrington, CT. The Administrative Assistant will provide day-to-day administrative and clerical support to office leadership and teams, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel and logistics. The role includes handling phone calls and visitors, routing inquiries, and maintaining a professional, helpful front-office presence. The Administrative Assistant will prepare and format documents, presentations, and reports; maintain digital and physical filing systems; and assist with data entry, purchasing requests, and basic office accounting tasks. This position also supports coordination of internal meetings and events, liaises with vendors and service providers, and helps ensure smooth daily office operations in a fast-paced industrial business environment.
Qualifications
- Strong Administrative Assistance and Executive Administrative Assistance skills, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements.
- Proficient clerical skills such as filing, document preparation, data entry, and basic record-keeping.
- Professional Phone Etiquette and polished Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office or similar tools) and comfort learning new systems and databases.
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Demonstrated reliability, discretion with confidential information, and a proactive, service-oriented mindset.
- Experience in an industrial, engineering, or manufacturing environment is beneficial but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in office administration or a related field is an advantage.
