Senior Estimating Manager

Senior Estimating Manager Lead the overall management of the bid process for commercial construction projects, ensuring compliance with RFPs and coordinating with internal teams. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in estimating for commercial construction and at least two (2) years managing estimators Experience leading the bidding process for multiple complex projects across various building types Knowledge of principles and practices of engineering and construction management, including safety, quality, constructability, and sustainability standards Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Technical Job Knowledge Lead bid assembly on large, complex pursuits Apply deep understanding of complex trades such as divisions 2, 15, and 16 to the estimating process Maintain trade partner and supplier relationships, leveraging them for business decisions Analyze historical data from estimates and bids for internal reviews Use lessons learned from the trade partner buyout process to improve business practices and minimize risk Lead project meetings and client presentations Provide oversight and guidance to Engineers, Senior Engineers, and Estimating Managers on risk management, value engineering, constructability, and pricing feedback Conduct performance reviews for junior staff Core Competencies Autonomy + Accountability Make decisions independently with limited guidance, affecting the role and others Provide guidance and direction to managers and professional staff Business Impact Affect own team, adjacent teams, and company-wide teams Make decisions without oversight that influence department revenue and success Influence senior leaders and external stakeholders Drive major project and department business development initiatives Talent Development Lead through managers and potentially manage multiple related teams Set organizational priorities and resource allocation Hold accountability for the performance and results of multiple related teams Problem Solving + Resiliency Identify and solve complex operational and organizational problems with appropriate resources inside or outside the department or team Davis Core Values Trust Excellence in Service – fulfilling our clients’ highest expectations Inclusion – ensuring a culture of respect and acceptance, where all employees have a sense of purpose and belonging Integrity – exhibiting honesty and fairness while holding ourselves accountable for our actions Building Relationships – creating and maintaining strong partnerships through leadership, creative solutions, and hard work Compensation & Benefits Base salary range: $130,000.00 – $175,000.00. Additional compensation includes an annual incentive bonus, paid time off with annual holidays, financial benefits (401(k), Roth, ESOP), and health and wellness programs such as a 100% employer‑paid health plan, life insurance, disability benefits, HSA contribution, FSAs, fertility and family‑forming assistance, and continuing education support.
