Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, families, and groups, employing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.

• Facilitate therapeutic sessions in both one-on-one and group formats, effectively addressing various mental health concerns.

• Maintain accurate clinical records to ensure compliance with ethical standards and legal regulations, contributing to effective treatment and continuity of care.

• Regularly collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other specialists to coordinate client care, ensuring a holistic therapeutic approach.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with advancements in the mental health field, actively participating in workshops and training sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will encompass working with a varied patient population, including individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and relational issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia.

• A minimum of two years of professional counseling experience, preferably in a clinical setting, demonstrating relevant skills in assessment and intervention.

• Strong knowledge of and compliance with ethical guidelines and legal regulations unique to the counseling profession.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively build rapport and therapeutic relationships with clients from a variety of backgrounds.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while contributing positively to team dynamics.

• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and relevant technology to manage documentation efficiently.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, we highly value candidates with specializations in areas such as trauma-focused therapy, substance abuse counseling, family therapy, or couples counseling. Experience working in diverse settings or with specialized populations will also be considered an advantage.
