Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to evaluate clients' mood disorder symptoms, determining severity, frequency, and impact on their daily lives.

• Collaborate with clients to craft personalized treatment plans that reflect their specific needs, goals, and aspirations, ensuring they are active participants in their own care.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to individual client circumstances.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, providing crucial information regarding treatment options and effective self-care strategies.

• Monitor clients’ progress closely, reviewing treatment plans regularly and making necessary adjustments based on their evolving needs.

• Engage in interprofessional collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive and coordinated care.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, therapeutic interventions, and treatment plans in alignment with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in team meetings and case consultations, exchanging knowledge with colleagues to optimize therapeutic practices and improve client outcomes.

• Advocate for clients by reducing the stigma surrounding mood disorders and promoting mental health awareness within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals suffering from mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. Our clientele reflects a diverse demographic, which mandates cultural competence and an understanding of varying backgrounds and experiences, allowing personalized and effective treatment.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid professional licensure as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT within the state of New Jersey.

• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based practices specifically related to mood disorders.

• A strong foundation in psychopharmacology and the ability to liaise with medical professionals seamlessly.

Preferred Experience\n
