Join a busy surgical care unit as a Registered Nurse and deliver high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients.Job Details\n \n Setting: Medical-Surgical / Surgical Care Unit\n Role: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)\n Location: Madison, WI\n Start Date: 10/26/2026\n Contract Length: 13 weeks\n Shift: 12-hour nights\n Hours per Week: 36\n Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,860 - $1,960\n Orientation: 12 hours\n Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend\n Floating: May float to similar units as needed\n Patient Ratio: 1:5-6\n Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics\n Job Requirements\n \n Active Registered Nurse license\n Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience\n BLS required\n ACLS preferred\n Experience with charting systems required\n Comfortable managing patient ratios of 1:5-6\n Strong clinical judgment in a fast-paced surgical care setting\n Ability to work night shift, weekends, and float as needed\n First-time travelers are welcome to apply\n Responsibilities\n \n Provide safe, compassionate bedside care for Med-Surg patients\n Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions throughout the shift\n Care for patients recovering from procedures including colon surgery, Whipple surgery, cholecystectomy, liver resections, bariatric surgery, GYN surgery, mastectomy, and hernia surgery\n Support patients with GI and abdominal conditions such as colitis, pancreatitis, abdominal pain, gastroparesis, bowel obstruction, and Crohn’s disease\n Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support positive outcomes\n Manage IV therapies, telemetry, wound care, drains, and other common Med-Surg needs\n Respond to changing patient needs and support efficient patient flow on a busy unit\n Maintain excellent clinical standards and patient-centered care\n \n Apply now for this Med-Surg travel RN opportunity in Madison, WI, and join a healthcare team where your skills can make an impact.
