This position allows for a remote work setting, benefiting from a collaborative virtual team culture. As an integral member of our clinical staff, you will engage with clients primarily through teletherapy and occasional in-person sessions as needed. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions and group therapy sessions focused on addressing behavioral and emotional challenges for our youth clients.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based techniques to provide intensive in-home therapeutic services, especially tailored for children with intellectual disabilities and behavioral issues.
\n
• Implement anger management strategies, coping skills, and social skills training to reduce high-risk behaviors including self-injurious behavior and aggression.
\n
• Work collaboratively within the Child Family Treatment Team and coordinate with other professionals to holistically support our families.
\n
• Document all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes within designated timeframes while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
\n
• Participate in monthly meetings to share insights, enhance team strategies, and submit recommendations for improving service delivery.
\n
• Maintain ongoing communication with family caregivers to foster a strong therapeutic alliance and provide continuous support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is children aged 3 to 20 who present with developmental disabilities and other intellectual challenges. Our diverse client base includes bilingual Spanish or Portuguese speaking families, creating an enriching opportunity to engage with a variety of cultural backgrounds and contribute to their holistic well-being.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
\n
• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) credential in Texas is essential.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM) is a must, with potential weekend flexibility being highly advantageous.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working with children and adolescents, particularly with those who have intellectual or developmental disabilities, is highly preferred.

• Experience in providing positive behavior support strategies tailored for at-risk youth.

• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and documentation systems is a plus.

• A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for occasional in-home visits is required.

• Must be able to pass a comprehensive criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
