Complete and Wellness Mind Care P.C. is seeking a dedicated and flexible Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist to join our dynamic team in Grand Prairie, Texas, working remotely to provide critical mental health support to children with developmental disabilities and their families. This full-time remote role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 60,000 to 80,000.

Work Environment\n

This position supports a fully remote work setting, leveraging telehealth technologies to conduct therapy sessions effectively. As part of our supportive team, you will have the flexibility to create your schedule while maintaining availability during critical after-school hours, specifically from 4 PM to 7 PM. Weekend availability is highly valued, offering even more opportunities to assist families in need.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual in-home therapy sessions and group therapy sessions through our outpatient telehealth platform.
\n
• Implement therapeutic interventions focused on anger management, social skills enhancement, and coping strategies, aimed at reducing high-risk behaviors (such as self-injurious behavior and physical aggression).
\n
• Work collaboratively with youth and their caretakers to improve decision-making skills, enabling families to manage behavioral challenges at home effectively.
\n
• Engage with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals to ensure consistent support and comprehensive treatment plans for each youth.
\n
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation for all therapy sessions, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss cases, share insights, and provide recommendations for continued family support.
\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client base primarily includes children aged 3-20 who experience developmental and intellectual disabilities. In this role, you will work closely with a diverse cross-section of these children, utilizing culturally sensitive approaches to engage effectively with both the children and their caregivers, especially those who are bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related mental health field is required.
\n
• Must hold an active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5 to 10 hours per week, particularly during after-school hours and possibly weekends as needed.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

\n
• Experience providing positive behavior support techniques is strongly preferred.
\n
• Prior experience working with children with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) is highly desirable.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and registered vehicle are necessary for potential in-home visits and visits to community resources.
\n
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required to ensure the safety of our clients.
