Healthy Mind and Wellness Counseling Clinic is seeking a dedicated and licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team. This full-time, remote position will focus on providing intensive in-home therapeutic services to children with developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges across California. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions in clients' homes or via secure online platforms, ensuring sessions are tailored to the unique needs of each child and their family.

• Facilitate group therapy discussions at our outpatient center to encourage peer interaction and shared learning experiences.
\n
• Implement therapeutic strategies focused on anger management, coping skills, social skills development, and reducing high-risk behaviors, such as self-injury or physical aggression.
\n
• Work closely with caregivers to enhance decision-making skills that strengthen effective management of behavioral challenges at home.
\n
• Maintain regular collaboration with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals involved in the child's care, sharing insights and adjustments to treatment plans as needed.

• Complete all required documentation, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes promptly and accurately.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings and provide valuable recommendations based on client experiences and outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this position is working with children ages 3-20 who are experiencing developmental and intellectual disabilities. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• Possession of a valid, active, and unrestricted LMFT license is essential.

• A commitment to a minimum availability of 5-10 hours weekly during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with weekend flexibility being a strong advantage.

• Demonstrated experience in providing positive behavior support and intervention strategies.
\n
• A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle are required for transportation to clients' homes when necessary.

• All candidates must pass a comprehensive criminal background check, including fingerprinting, to ensure the safety of our young clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working with children with intellectual and developmental disabilities is highly desirable.

• Experience delivering therapy in both in-home and group settings is advantageous.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese will enhance communication with a significant segment of our clientele.

Compensation and Benefits\n
