Work Environment\n

This role is positioned within a telehealth framework, allowing our Licensed Mental Health Counselors to conduct sessions remotely, providing flexibility for both counselors and clients. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will engage with professionals including medical providers, midwives, doulas, and lactation consultants to offer integrated care that addresses both the mental and physical health needs of families. You will participate in ongoing clinical consultations and collaborative learning spaces, ensuring high standards of care while promoting personal and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Co-facilitate childbirth education and postpartum peer support groups alongside birth workers, enhancing the educational experience for families.

• Actively participate in community engagement initiatives aimed at fostering holistic wellness and building supportive networks for birthing individuals and their families.

• Engage in clinical consultation sessions to share insights and collaborate with colleagues in a multidisciplinary team environment.

• Complete all necessary clinical documentation accurately and promptly, adhering to best practices and regulatory guidelines.

• Provide direct mental health services including comprehensive behavioral health assessments, therapeutic counseling, and case management tailored to the unique needs of Black birthing families.

• Consult and communicate regularly with prenatal care team members to ensure holistic and integrated health care for clients.

• Perform related duties as assigned, contributing to the overarching goals of the organization and its commitment to comprehensive care.

In this role, you will primarily serve Black birthing families, ensuring culturally sensitive support during pivotal life moments. You will work to develop trust and rapport with clients, recognizing the importance of cultural identity in the therapeutic process. Your expertise will help individuals navigate the complexities of parenthood, mental health, and community support.

Qualifications\n

• Required: Must hold a master's degree in a behavioral science or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Required: Current licensure as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to engage professionally with diverse, multicultural colleagues and clients.

• Strong organizational skills and capability to manage time effectively, seeking assistance when necessary to optimize service delivery.

• Experience in providing mental health care, particularly in areas related to maternal health, is highly desirable.
