Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individualized therapy sessions in clients’ homes or through virtual platforms to ensure accessibility and comfort.

• Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at promoting emotional regulation, anger management, and social skills development.
\n
• Actively engage in behavior management strategies to mitigate high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) or aggression, tailoring methods to the unique needs of each child and caregiver.

• Work closely with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals, ensuring a coordinated and comprehensive approach to treatment.
\n
• Regularly document and submit treatment plans, progress notes, and intake records to maintain accurate client records and facilitate ongoing treatment adjustments.

• Participate in monthly team meetings to review cases, share insights, and provide recommendations for enhancing service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on children and adolescents aged 3-20, especially those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). As a therapist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting these young individuals and their families, enhancing their skills to navigate daily life challenges and fostering a nurturing environment for growth and development.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related discipline is required.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license is mandatory.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, primarily during after-school hours (4-7 PM); weekend availability is a plus.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with positive behavior support strategies and client-centered therapy approaches.

• A background in working with children with intellectual or developmental disabilities is highly desirable.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for client home visits are essential.

• Candidates must pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
