Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while you provide therapy services. Therapists will conduct either in-home therapy sessions or sessions in our outpatient center, which is designed to be welcoming and supportive for clients and their families. The remote nature of this role requires a self-motivated individual who can manage their time effectively to complete documentation and meet with clients as scheduled.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on enhancing behavioral and emotional resilience in children.

• Implement treatment strategies to address issues such as anger management, social skills, and coping mechanisms to mitigate high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious behaviors (SIB) and physical aggression.

• Assist families in developing effective decision-making skills to navigate in-home behavioral challenges, facilitating a supportive environment for growth and improvement.
\n
• Collaborate closely with the Child Family Treatment Team and other multidisciplinary professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to each child’s treatment plan.

• Complete all required documentation, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, within specified time frames to ensure compliance and continuity of care.

• Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss case progress and develop recommendations for ongoing therapy and family support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist will focus on children aged 3-20, specifically targeting those with developmental and intellectual disabilities. This role requires empathy and understanding, as you will work with families from diverse backgrounds to create tailored therapeutic interventions that promote positive outcomes and enhance family dynamics.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• An active, unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license is mandatory.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (typically between 4 PM and 7 PM). Weekend flexibility is a desired asset.

• Experience in providing positive behavior support and interventions is essential.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are necessary for potential in-home sessions.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is a requirement before employment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working with children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) is preferred.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is highly desired, as it enables broader communication with families from various cultural backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n
