Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to engage in meaningful therapy sessions in the comfort of clients' homes or within our outpatient offices. The position requires a commitment to working minimum hours primarily after school, between 4-7 pm, with the possibility of weekend sessions for those who can accommodate. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on emotional and behavioral challenges presented by children with diverse needs.

• Implement therapeutic techniques aimed at improving coping skills, anger management, and social skills, while working to mitigate high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.

• Assist in enhancing decision-making abilities for youth and their caregivers to manage and resolve in-home behavioral challenges effectively.
\n
• Collaborate with a Child Family Treatment Team and multidisciplinary professionals to offer cohesive support and optimal outcomes for both children and their families.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes as required by clinic protocols.

• Participate actively in monthly team meetings, contributing insights and recommendations for program improvements.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on children and adolescents aged 3-20 who are facing developmental and intellectual challenges. As a therapist, you will engage with a wide variety of cases, providing tailored interventions to accommodate the unique experiences and backgrounds of each child. Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license in New Jersey is mandatory.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours of work per week during designated after-school hours is essential.

• Applicants must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a registered vehicle for client visits.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is a prerequisite for employment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience providing positive behavior support and crisis intervention strategies is highly desirable.

• Prior experience working directly with clients who have intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) will be considered a strong asset.

Compensation and Benefits\n
