Key Responsibilities\n

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting individual and group therapy sessions tailored to the needs of children and adolescents in their homes or at our outpatient facility.
\n
• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address behavioral challenges, including anger management and coping strategies.
\n
• Providing positive behavioral support to clients and empowering families with effective decision-making skills to manage in-home challenges.
\n
• Collaborating with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
\n
• Documenting all therapeutic interactions with clients, including intake assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and recommendations, within designated timeframes.
\n
• Participating in monthly team meetings to discuss case progress, share insights, and refine intervention strategies.
\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with children between the ages of 3 to 20 who have developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Your expertise will help these children develop essential social skills, emotional regulation, and coping mechanisms while providing critical support to their families. We value bilingual abilities in Spanish or Portuguese as it enhances our reach and efficacy in servicing diverse communities.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, you must possess:

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Texas.
\n
• A commitment to providing culturally competent care to a broad diversity of clients.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, particularly during after-school hours (4 PM – 7 PM). Flexibility to work on weekends is preferred.

• A clean criminal background, verified through required fingerprinting processes.

Compensation and Benefits\n
