This role allows you to thrive in a primarily remote setting while maintaining the flexibility to conduct in-person sessions as needed. Our outpatient office serves as a nurturing environment for group therapies and client meetings, enabling you to connect deeply with families. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to addressing behavioral challenges and fostering positive outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and family therapy sessions, both in-home and remotely, ensuring therapeutic interventions are tailored to the unique needs of each child and family.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions at our outpatient center, focusing on nurturing social skills and teaching coping strategies for anger management and reducing high-risk behaviors.
\n
• Provide support in decision-making and behavioral management to caregivers, enhancing their capacity to navigate in-home challenges.
\n
• Implement and evaluate individualized treatment plans, documenting progress through intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes while ensuring timely submission of all paperwork.

• Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals to develop and coordinate holistic care strategies.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings, contributing your insights and recommendations to continuously improve the support offered to clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be families with children aged 3-20 who face developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. We aim to provide services that are culturally sensitive and effective, particularly for bilingual clients, as a significant portion of our clientele benefits from therapists who can communicate in Spanish or Portuguese. Your role is pivotal in helping these children and their families achieve stability, improve interpersonal skills, and enhance overall emotional well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
\n
• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license is mandatory.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 pm), with weekend flexibility considered advantageous.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for community-based engagements.
\n
• Candidates must clear a comprehensive criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience providing positive behavioral support to children and adolescents.

• Familiarity with the unique challenges faced by individual clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

• Prior involvement with collaborative team-based treatment approaches is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n
