Work Environment\n

As a remote position based in a community health clinic, you will have the flexibility to conduct therapy sessions from the comfort of your home while making a significant impact on clients' lives throughout the state of Florida. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and family therapy sessions remotely, providing tailored therapeutic interventions that support developmental needs and improve family dynamics.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address the unique challenges faced by clients, such as anxiety, behavioral issues, and social skills development.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based methodologies to deliver anger management techniques, coping strategies, and social skills training, while actively working to reduce high-risk behaviors like self-injury or aggression.
\n
• Engage caregivers in sessions to enhance their decision-making skills and ability to manage behavioral challenges within the home environment.
\n
• Collaborate closely with the Child Family Treatment Team, communicating frequently with professionals from various disciplines to ensure integrated support for our clients.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to compliance regulations and organizational policies.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings to share insights, receive peer feedback, and recommend service improvements.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role specifically focuses on supporting children and adolescents aged 3-20 with developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges, working with them and their families to overcome obstacles and improve quality of life. Our client population presents with a diverse range of needs that require sensitivity, adaptability, and creativity in therapeutic approaches.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is mandatory.
\n
• Possession of a valid, active, and unrestricted LMFT license in Florida.
\n
• A flexible schedule, with a minimum availability of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM), and willingness to offer weekend appointments when necessary.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for occasional in-person client meetings when required.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Proven experience in providing positive behavior support and crisis intervention strategies.
\n
• A background in working with children or adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) is highly desirable.
\n
• Bilingual capabilities in Spanish or Portuguese are preferred to serve a broader client community.

Compensation and Benefits\n
