Work Environment\n

This position allows for a flexible working environment where therapists can provide care predominantly through teletherapy in the comfort of their own homes while maintaining the option to meet clients in an outpatient office setting as required. Key Responsibilities\n

The Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist will be responsible for the following:

• Conducting individualized treatment sessions with clients in their homes or at our outpatient clinic, focusing on creating a safe and trusting environment.
\n
• Facilitating therapeutic interventions aimed at improving children's social skills, coping mechanisms, and managing high-risk behaviors such as self-injury or aggression.
\n
• Collaborating with caregivers to enhance their decision-making skills regarding behavioral management strategies within the home setting.
\n
• Working closely with the Child Family Treatment Team and other specialists to ensure an integrated approach to treatment, enhancing overall effectiveness.
\n
• Documenting all clinical interactions meticulously, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
\n
• Participating in monthly team meetings to discuss case updates, share insights, and propose strategies for continuous improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on children and adolescents aged 3-20 who are diagnosed with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Therapists will engage with clients showcasing a range of developmental challenges, working closely to address their mental health needs and support their personal growth and well-being.

Qualifications\n

Candidates must meet the following qualifications to be considered:

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field.
\n
• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours, specifically between 4-7 PM, with some flexibility on weekends.
\n
• Valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle for potential home visits.
\n
• A successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

Ideal candidates will possess:
