Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individualized in-home therapy sessions or facilitate group therapy programs aimed at improving emotional and behavioral health.

• Utilize evidence-based techniques to address high-risk behaviors, including anger management and the development of coping and social skills.

• Support caregivers by improving their decision-making and crisis management skills in handling challenging behaviors at home.
\n
• Collaborate regularly with the Child Family Treatment Team and other interdisciplinary professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to each child's care.
\n
• Manage case documentation diligently, including intake evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with agency protocols.
\n
• Engage in team meetings to provide insights for client treatment strategies, thus enhancing client outcomes and overall service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on working with children and adolescents aged 3-20 who exhibit developmental difficulties and intellectual impairments. Your interventions will play a crucial role in fostering resilience and self-advocacy among these young individuals. By focusing on the child-caregiver dynamic, you will help families build stronger relationships and navigate the complexities associated with developmental and behavioral challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and unrestricted License in Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT) is mandatory.

• A minimum of a Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• Flexibility to work an array of hours, including evenings and weekends, is advantageous.

• A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for potential client meet-ups.

• Successful completion of a comprehensive background check, including fingerprint verification.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous work with children facing emotional and behavioral challenges, particularly those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Compensation and Benefits\n
