Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to conduct therapy sessions in a comfortable home environment. Our community health clinic operates on a model that prioritizes accessibility and support, enabling you to connect directly with clients through in-home sessions or virtual therapy. As part of a dedicated Child Family Treatment Team, you will collaborate with other mental health professionals—all driven by a common goal: to support families in their journey towards improved mental health.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions and group therapy workshops targeted at children and adolescents facing behavioral and emotional challenges.
\n
• Develop and implement therapeutic plans that address crucial areas such as anger management, social skills, and coping strategies to minimize high-risk behaviors.
\n
• Enhance both the child’s and caregiver’s decision-making capabilities in navigating behavioral issues in the home environment.
\n
• Collaborate actively with the Child Family Treatment Team, providing insights and treatment recommendations to foster comprehensive care.
\n
• Ensure timely documentation of therapeutic processes, including intake evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to clinic protocols.
\n
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss client progress and share innovative treatment strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on a diverse group of children and adolescents aged 3-20 with developmental and intellectual disabilities. By offering targeted therapy designed to meet the unique needs of each child, you will help to create a supportive environment for clients facing complex challenges, guiding them towards achieving their personal goals.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
\n
• Must hold a valid, unrestricted LMFT license.
\n
• A minimum of 5-10 hours availability per week during after-school hours from 4-7 pm.
\n
• Weekend availability may be considered an advantage.
\n
• Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience implementing positive behavior support strategies is desirable.
\n
• Experience working with clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) is preferred.
\n
• Previous contact with clients ranging between 3 and 20 years old will be highly advantageous.
\n
• A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle are mandatory for transporting materials or potentially visiting clients in community settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n
