This position is designed for flexibility as it is primarily remote; however, you will have the opportunity to conduct in-home therapy sessions or group therapy at our outpatient center located in Anaheim, California. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual in-home therapy sessions or group therapy sessions at the outpatient center, providing personalized treatment tailored to each client.

• Deliver interventions aimed at fostering anger management, developing coping strategies, enhancing social skills, and mitigating high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.
\n
• Enhance decision-making skills for youth and their caregivers, equipping them to better handle in-home behavioral challenges.
\n
• Collaborate closely with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals to create a cohesive support system for clients and their families.
\n
• Maintain up-to-date documentation, including intake assessments, individualized treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to specified submission timelines.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings and actively contribute recommendations to improve service delivery and client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with children aged 3-20 who are dealing with developmental and intellectual disabilities. This includes those who require targeted support to achieve positive behavioral changes, as well as their families, who often face a range of challenges in caregiving and decision-making. Your therapeutic interventions will make a meaningful impact on the lives of these children, empowering them and their families to overcome obstacles and build healthier relationships.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is mandatory for this position.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM); weekend availability is a plus.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience providing positive behavior support strategies for children with behavioral challenges.
\n
• Prior experience working with children who have intellectual or developmental disabilities is highly desirable.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are essential for providing in-home services.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required to ensure the safety of our clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
