Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity and frequency of mood disorder symptoms, gathering relevant patient history and utilizing standardized tools.

• Collaborate with each client to develop tailored treatment plans that align with their unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, specifically utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapting strategies to meet individual client requirements.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, coping strategies, and self-management techniques.

• Regularly monitor client progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on observed outcomes and feedback.

• Work in tandem with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure an integrated treatment approach that addresses both medical and psychological needs.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of research developments in mood disorder treatment to inform and enhance therapeutic practices.

• Document all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans diligently, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and ethical standards.

• Engage in regular case consultations and professional development activities to continuously refine clinical competencies and best practices.

• Advocate for clients, working to reduce stigma around mental health conditions and promoting awareness of available support systems.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals coping with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related challenges. Our diverse patient population encompasses various ages, backgrounds, and experiences, requiring a compassionate and adaptive therapeutic approach.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT within the state of New York.

• Proven expertise in evidence-based modalities, such as CBT and DBT, with demonstrable outcomes in treating mood disorders.

• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology and experience collaborating effectively with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals.

• Exceptional communication skills to build rapport with clients of diverse backgrounds and varying psychological needs.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

• Salary range between USD 80,000 – 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
