If you are motivated, and have experience in customer service with excellent technical, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills, the Field Office Support Unit wants you as their next Motor Vehicle Representative (MVR). The Field Office Support Unit is an extremely busy telephone unit seeking a dependable team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic, who is ready to provide exceptional customer service to the public and field offices. Under the direction of the Manager I, the MVR formulates accurate responses to telephone inquiries for technical procedural guidance to resolve difficult vehicle/vessel registration (VR) problems. Applies provisions of the vehicle code, administrative regulations, policies, and procedures pertaining to VR and ownership. Executes difficult tasks independently for effective resolution. Must possess strong interpersonal skills, effective written and oral communication, and effectively work with public, peers and management. Other duties as required. This Limited Term position may be extended to 24 months and may become Permanent. All eligible applicants are encouraged to apply. A training and development assignment may be considered. The Salary Range shown is the minimum and maximum for a full-time appointment. Salaries are non-negotiable and are subject to the California Department of Human Resources salary rules. Salaries for part-time and/or intermittent appointments may vary. Moving and relocation expenses will not be reimbursed for this position.
