This position is predominantly remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while having the flexibility to attend necessary in-person appointments in our Long Beach outpatient facility when required. Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide dedicated support for each patient’s therapeutic treatment plan by observing, recording, and effectively communicating relevant patient information.

• Assist in the orientation process for new patients and their families, ensuring they feel welcomed and informed about the treatment processes.

• Deliver hands-on support, catering to the individual needs of patients, including assistance with daily activities, guidance through therapy sessions, and managing emotions during crises.

• Maintain accurate and comprehensive progress notes, ensuring they reflect the patients' progress towards established treatment goals and completed by the end of each shift.

• Manage time efficiently, setting priorities autonomously to ensure prompt delivery of therapeutic services while adhering to departmental standards for both care and documentation.

• Recognize and advocate for appropriate services and resources for assigned patients, acting as a liaison between them and the necessary support systems.

• Demonstrate crisis management skills through immediate recognition of behavioral changes and the application of de-escalation techniques in line with established clinical protocols.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in our organization, you will engage with a diverse patient population, including individuals, couples, and families facing various mental health challenges. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current independent licensure (LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW) as issued by the California State Board; provisional or limited licensure will not be accepted.

• Ability to make sound professional evaluations and decisions that inform treatment planning and implementation.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a deep sense of empathy and commitment to patient care.

• Proficient computer literacy, especially in electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Preferred Experience\n

We prefer candidates with experience working in outpatient mental health settings or community health organizations. Familiarity with trauma-informed care, integrated care models, and evidence-based therapeutic practices will be considered an asset. Proven experience in crisis intervention and management will also be highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits\n
