Accounts Receivable Specialist

Location: Hillsborough, NJ | Work Schedule: On-Site | Compensation: $50,000 – $70,000 annually About the Role We are looking for a reliable and experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will own the full collections process, working closely with our billing department and sales team to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices. This is a hands‑on, collection‑focused position best suited for someone who hits the ground running and thrives in a fast‑paced, service‑industry environment. Key Responsibilities Manage and execute outbound collections calls to customers with past‑due balances Partner with the billing department to resolve invoice discrepancies and disputes Collaborate with the sales team to ensure accurate billing and smooth cash flow Track and document collection activity and account status in QuickBooks Reconcile accounts and provide regular aging report updates to management Escalate unresolved accounts per established collections procedures Qualifications 2+ years of B2B accounts receivable or collections experience required Background in construction, facility services, or a similar trade/service industry strongly preferred Proficiency in QuickBooks required Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) Strong communication skills — comfortable making high‑volume outbound calls and working cross‑functionally Ability to manage a large account portfolio and prioritize effectively Team player with a professional, solutions‑oriented mindset Stable work history with demonstrated tenure in prior roles What We Offer Competitive salary: $50,000 – $70,000 based on experience Collaborative team environment with direct access to leadership Opportunity to grow within an established, expanding organization EEO Statement We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
