Work Environment\n

This full-time role is conducted in a remote work setting, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a strong connection to our supportive and collaborative team. You will be equipped with the necessary tools and technologies to effectively communicate and coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members, including psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and nursing staff. Your work hours will be from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health and substance use needs, identifying any presence of co-occurring disorders.

• Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, incorporating evidence-based interventions to address both mental health and substance use challenges.

• Provide both individual and group therapy sessions, helping clients to develop essential coping skills, effective relapse prevention strategies, and emotional regulation techniques.

• Coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to treatment, fostering collaboration with specialists such as psychiatrists and addiction counselors.

• Implement regular substance use monitoring and utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage clients throughout their recovery journey.

• Educate clients and their families on the interconnected nature of mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the importance of treatment adherence and involvement.

• Maintain detailed and timely documentation of treatment progress, interventions provided, and referrals made, adhering to ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and professional training sessions to stay updated on best practices in co-occurring disorder treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals dealing with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, providing compassionate support as they navigate their unique recovery journeys. You will work with a diverse client base, tailoring treatment plans to meet the individual needs of each person while addressing the complexities involved in dual diagnoses.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Proficiency in using evidence-based therapies for treating co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A strong understanding of the relationships between mental health issues and substance use disorders is essential.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration within an interdisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working with clients who have co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders is highly preferred.

• Demonstrated capability in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and care coordination.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is USD 115,000 – 130,000 per year, reflecting your experience and qualifications.
