This role will operate within a flexible remote setting, allowing for convenience and efficiency in servicing our clients. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations to understand clients' challenges and strengths, supporting every step from initial assessment to follow-up.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that reflect the specific needs of clients, utilizing evidence-based practices and clinical judgment.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities to promote healing and recovery.
\n
• Monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal health outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to coordinate care, ensuring holistic support for clients.

• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, keeping detailed records of therapy sessions and progress.
\n
• Act as a liaison for referrals and follow-ups with psychiatrists and other medical professionals when hospitalizations occur.
\n
• Educate and guide family members to support loved ones facing mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clientele includes a diverse spectrum of individuals, couples, and families experiencing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. This role will require a sensitivity to cultural differences and individual experiences, ensuring personalized care that meets each client's unique background and needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in California.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to connect empathetically with clients.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating understanding and compassion in client interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years' experience in a mental health counseling role, preferably in an outpatient setting.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, such as AVATAR.

• Experience working with clients with co-occurring disorders and an understanding of the impact of medication on mental health.

• Familiarity with the latest best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
