Make a difference in the lives of students by supporting their growth and success through specialized instruction and strategic behavioral support. This contract opportunity focuses on providing resource and center-based special education services for middle and elementary school students across several sites for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota teaching license in one or more of the following special education areas: Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Disabilities, Early Childhood Special Education, Emotional Behavioral Disorders, Learning Disabilities, or Academic & Behavioral Strategist (ABS license optional)
- Demonstrated expertise with behavior strategies, intervention, and individualized behavior plans
- Proven ability to establish and maintain supportive classroom structure and consistent routines
- Skilled in effective instruction and adapting lessons for diverse learning styles
- Strong collaboration with special and general education staff, as well as paraprofessionals
- Reliable attendance and professionalism are essential
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and behavioral supports for students with IEPs in both resource and center-based settings
- Manage caseloads including:
- 4 middle school resource teacher roles
- FMLA leave coverage (Aug 24-Nov 9) at a middle school
- Center-based ASD programs at two elementary locations
- Mild/moderate DCD center-based class at a middle school
- Implement evidence-based behavior management and intervention strategies
- Develop and monitor individual student goals and progress
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals and related service providers for effective student support
- Engage in regular communication with families and team members
