Role Description
The HRIS Analyst supports the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the organization’s Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Human Capital technology solutions. This role is responsible for ensuring data accuracy, supporting system functionality, assisting with reporting and analytics, and helping improve HR processes through effective use of technology. The HRIS Analyst works closely with Human Capital, Payroll, IT, Finance, Recruiting, and other stakeholders to support system operations and enhance employee experience.
HRIS Administration & Support
- Support the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and optimization of HR systems and related applications.
- Assist with maintaining organizational structures, workflows, security roles, business processes, and employee data within HR systems.
- Support HR system integrations and interfaces between HRIS, payroll, benefits, recruiting, and third-party systems.
- Assist with user access management, security roles, and permissions in accordance with company policies and audit requirements.
- Troubleshoot system issues, research root causes, and coordinate resolutions with internal teams and vendors.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze HR reports, dashboards, and workforce metrics using advanced Excel functions and reporting tools to provide actionable insights that support business and HR decision-making.
- Assist Human Capital team with general HR and Recruiting support, as needed.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, reporting capabilities, and system efficiencies.
- Assist with evaluating and implementing system enhancements and configuration updates.
- Support the documentation and review of HR technology-related processes and procedures.
- Stay informed on HRIS functionality, best practices, and emerging HR technology trends.
Project Support
- Participate in HRIS projects, system upgrades, testing efforts, and enhancement initiatives.
- Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT), regression testing, and validation activities for system updates and integrations.
- Support implementation activities, including data validation, documentation, and end-user communication.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to transform HR data into actionable analytics, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and meaningful reporting across the organization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Human Capital, Payroll, IT, Finance, Security, Recruiting, and external vendors to support HR technology initiatives and resolve system-related issues.
- Respond to user inquiries and provide system support to managers, employees, and Human Capital team members.
- Assist with special projects and operational initiatives, as assigned.
- Develop, maintain, and distribute standard and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and workforce analytics.
- Analyze workforce trends, including headcount, turnover, compensation and performance metrics, and provide recommendations based on data-driven insights.
- Perform routine data audits, reconciliations, and validation activities to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Assist with internal audits, compliance reporting, and data requests.
Documentation & Training
- Create and maintain job aids, process documentation, SOPs, and user guides.
- Provide system training and guidance to Human Capital team members, managers, and employees.
- Support knowledge-sharing efforts related to HR systems and processes.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of HRIS administration, reporting, workflows, and employee data management.
- Experience supporting HR systems such as ADP Vantage, Workday, UKG, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of HR data structures, security concepts, and system functionality.
- Expert level Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and recommend practical solutions.
- Experience using reporting and analytics tools to support business decisions.
- Ability to leverage AI and technology tools responsibly to improve efficiency, reporting, and data analysis while maintaining sound judgment and data integrity.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Communication Excellence: Ability to clearly convey technical information to non-technical users, document processes and present HR data insights professionally.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Experience
- 3+ years of HRIS, HR Operations or Human Capital systems experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise HRIS platforms such as ADP Vantage, Workday, UKG, or similar systems.
- Experience with reporting, data analysis, dashboards, and workforce metrics.
- Experience supporting system testing, upgrades, integrations, or process improvement initiatives.
- Working knowledge of HR processes, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits, payroll, performance management, and employee data management.
