Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility in your work-life balance while still being part of a collaborative team. Utilizing telehealth technology, you will provide therapy sessions and support to clients from the comfort of your home or any suitable setting. Your work schedule will be from Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with occasional flexibility required to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments aimed at understanding the unique histories and needs of patients.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans, focusing on healing from trauma and enhancing resilience through individualized therapeutic approaches.

• Utilize well-established evidence-based techniques, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to guide the therapeutic process.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, encouraging clients to process their trauma, build coping strategies, and promote their journey towards recovery.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary healthcare providers, ensuring an integrated and comprehensive care experience for our patients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support in instances of trauma-related emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma reactions, coping strategies, and recovery options to foster a supportive environment outside of therapy sessions.

• Maintain meticulous documentation practices that meet legal and ethical standards, ensuring patient confidentiality at all times.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development to remain informed about current research and best practices related to trauma therapy.

Your work at the Queer Self Care Mental Therapy Center will primarily focus on individuals who have experienced trauma, including members of the LGBTQ+ community and other marginalized groups. You will help clients navigate the effects of trauma on their mental health through a compassionate and nuanced understanding of their unique experiences and needs. Your commitment to a trauma-informed and culturally competent approach will profoundly influence their recovery journey.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, mental health counseling, or psychology from an accredited university.

• A current and valid state license as an LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or psychologist.

• An understanding of trauma-informed care practices, therapies, and resilience-building strategies.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, combined with a warm and non-judgmental demeanor.

• The ability to remain composed and supportive in high-pressure situations.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with various digital tools relevant to telehealth.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, we encourage candidates with at least 2 years of post-licensure experience in trauma-focused therapy or mental health counseling. A robust knowledge of trauma-related disorders and effective intervention techniques will be beneficial in this role.

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually, reflecting your expertise and dedication to mental health care.
