Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments by engaging with students, reviewing medical histories, and collaborating with educational staff to identify emotional, social, and environmental factors that impact student recovery.

• Provide counseling and therapeutic support to students and their families, focusing on adjustment issues related to academic pressures, mental health challenges, and life transitions.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team to develop comprehensive individualized treatment plans that reflect each student's unique psychosocial needs and educational goals.

• Assist students and families in accessing vital community resources, such as support groups, vocational training programs, and housing assistance, empowering them with tools for success.

• Offer educational workshops for students and families to raise awareness about mental health resources and promote post-rehabilitation services.

• Participate in discharge planning and support transitions for students moving from rehabilitation to their home environment or alternative educational settings.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on school-aged children and adolescents within the Plano community who may be facing a variety of mental health challenges. These may include behavioral issues, emotional disturbances, coping with chronic illnesses, trauma recovery, or difficulties related to family dynamics. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.

Compensation and Benefits\n
