Work Environment\n

The clinic operates Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., fostering a balanced work-life dynamic. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of their mood disorder symptoms, ensuring accurate diagnostic conclusions.

• Collaborate with clients to craft personalized treatment plans that align with their specific needs, goals, and preferences, promoting client-driven care.

• Implement evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address mood disorders.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress, documenting changes and adapting treatment plans as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
\n
• Facilitate coordination of care by collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals involved in the clients' treatment.
\n
• Engage in ongoing professional development by keeping abreast of the latest research and advancements in the treatment of mood disorders.
\n
• Maintain precise and confidential client documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and community outreach efforts to enhance the clinic's services and reach.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs, working towards reducing stigma associated with mental illness in the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with clients experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. The clinic serves a diverse population, ranging from individuals to families, including marginalized groups such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence, emphasizing inclusivity and sensitivity to various cultural backgrounds.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
