Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct mental health evaluations through initial consultations and follow-up sessions, documenting detailed case histories and ongoing treatment progress.

• Develop tailored treatment and intervention plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups based on comprehensive assessments of mental, behavioral, and emotional health.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic modalities that align with each client's unique needs and preferences.

• Continuously monitor and evaluate client progress throughout the duration of the treatment plan, making necessary adjustments to strategies as required.

• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers to coordinate holistic care and ensure optimal treatment outcomes.

• Manage referrals and follow up with clients admitted to hospitals, ensuring seamless transitions in their care.

• Provide guidance to family members and primary caregivers on how to support clients facing mental and behavioral challenges.

• Stay current with developments in the field of psychotherapy, attending workshops and engaging in peer discussions to enhance clinical skills.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• A successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with exceptional interpersonal abilities that foster positive relationships with clients and team members.

• A client-centered approach that emphasizes empathy, respect, and cultural competency in the provision of mental health services.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working as a mental health counselor in outpatient settings.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR or similar platforms.

• Experience in handling various underlying physical and emotional health conditions, as well as managing addiction disorders efficiently.

• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and guidelines for treatment.

• Adeptness at understanding the effects of prescribed medications and their integration into the therapeutic process.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this role ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus a sign-on bonus.
