Key Responsibilities\n

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness to address individual client needs.

• Staying current with ongoing research and trends in mental health treatment to integrate new techniques into your practice.

• Ensuring client confidentiality and adhering strictly to ethical standards in your practice.

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for clients.

• Participating in ongoing professional development to refine your counseling skills and therapeutic approaches.

• Maintaining detailed and accurate client records, including therapy session notes, treatment plans, and progress updates.

• Conducting psychological assessments to determine clients' mental health status and developing tailored treatment strategies.

• Facilitating a combination of in-person and remote counseling sessions based on client needs, ensuring flexibility in service delivery.

• Executing additional tasks as assigned to support the organization’s goals and client needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on cancer patients and their families, addressing a spectrum of issues from diagnosis to survivorship. You will engage with clients dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, and other mental health challenges associated with their diagnoses. This role demands a nuanced understanding of the psychological impacts of cancer, coupled with empathy and strong communication skills to effectively support clients and caregivers.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A valid mental health counseling license, including LMHC, LMFT, or LICSW, in accordance with state regulations.

• A Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.

• The ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team in an outpatient setting.

• Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying information clearly and facilitating open dialogue with clients and colleagues.

• A clean history concerning Medical Malpractice Claims, verified by a third party.
\n
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Compensation and Benefits\n
