We're partnering with a highly respected upscale restaurant in Portland that is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join its leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside an accomplished Executive Chef in a scratch kitchen focused on seasonal ingredients, exceptional execution, and delivering an outstanding guest experience.

What You'll Do- Assist in leading all daily back-of-house operations
- Support and mentor line cooks while maintaining a positive kitchen culture
- Ensure every dish is executed with consistency, quality, and attention to detail
- Assist with ordering, inventory, scheduling, and food cost management
- Maintain the highest standards of sanitation, organization, and food safety
- Work closely with the Executive Chef on menu execution and seasonal features
- Lead the kitchen during the Executive Chef's absence
- 2+ years of Sous Chef or strong Kitchen Manager experience in an upscale or scratch kitchen
- Passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and culinary excellence
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience managing high-volume service while maintaining quality
- Knowledge of food cost, labor management, and inventory controls
- Team-oriented leader with a hands-on management style
- Salary up to $80,000
