Work Environment\n

As a remote mental health counselor, you will have the flexibility to manage your work schedule while participating in collaborative team meetings and professional development sessions. The work hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required to meet the diverse needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive and culturally sensitive mental health assessments for patients to understand their individual backgrounds and to create personalized treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient's unique experiences, cultural identity, and mental health needs.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, striving to address various mental health issues while promoting resilience and overall well-being.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team—including psychiatrists, psychologists, and other clinicians—to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.

• Provide crisis intervention as needed, offering immediate support during mental health emergencies to assist patients in navigating their circumstances.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and useful community resources, facilitating informed decision-making.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Strong knowledge of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment methods, and the importance of cultural sensitivity in therapy.

• Experience in providing individual and group therapy, particularly using approaches that are inclusive and responsive to diverse cultural backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n
