Big Deal Speakeasy Casino — New York’s only casino, fake or otherwise (we happen to be fake) — is in the midst of a major fundraise to expand into a 16,000-square-foot immersive theatrical production. This expansion will transform our business into a fully realized experiential environment blending live performance, hospitality, gaming, and narrative production. We are seeking a highly capable Executive / Personal Assistant who will grow into an Expansion Associate role. As the business expands, so will the scope of this role. Compensation and title growth opportunities will align with the trajectory of the expansion and demonstrated performance. This is not a corporate job. This is an entrepreneurial apprenticeship inside a fast-moving, creatively ambitious small business. If you want to learn how to run and scale a business from the inside, this is the job for you. About the Owner I am a creative female founder operating multiple ventures simultaneously. I move quickly. I expect clarity, precision, and follow-through. I value people who can turn chaos into structure and who understand that how they work reflects who they are. You are your word. This is a partnership-minded assistant role. Compensation Base compensation begins at $22/hour Based on anticipated scheduling, overtime eligibility, and event tips/bonuses, total annual compensation is projected to approach the upper end of the posted range (approximately $68,000) . Actual earnings may vary depending on individual availability. Year-end compensation is not guaranteed and will be structured in compliance with applicable wage and hour laws. As the expansion progresses, there is meaningful opportunity for role evolution and increased compensation aligned with increased responsibility. The Opportunity This position begins as a high-level EA/PA but is designed to evolve into an adjacent managerial role supporting: Operational build‑out Vendor and talent coordination Marketing and brand development Creative development and story production For candidates with film, television, or theater backgrounds, this is particularly exciting. Ideal Candidate You are: Entrepreneurial in mindset Energized by growth and build phases Comfortable working late starts and late evenings Based in one of NYC’s five boroughs (this is essential due to short-notice, same-day travel across the city) Drawn to small businesses rather than corporate structures Calm and patient, not prone to drama A master of organization and structure Excited by live storytelling, experiential environments, and production You likely have: Strong written and verbal communication skills Exceptional organizational instincts Comfort debating the Oxford comma Advanced follow-through and project management discipline Social media literacy Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Adobe Suite Film/TV, theater, hospitality, or high‑end service experience (a plus) Server experience and/or film production experience are both highly transferable to this environment. Responsibilities Client and vendor communication (phone and email) Calendar and logistics management Research and operational support Website and social media coordination Errands and in-person execution tasks Event support (evenings and weekends) General problem‑solving and momentum‑building This is a high-volume, high-visibility role during an expansion period. Be prepared for intensity with real growth. Logistics Although you will have opportunities to work from home, this is not a remote job. Many days may bring you to multiple locations throughout the city You must currently reside in NYC Owner is based in the East Village Business operations are centered in Nomad Travel throughout the city is frequent and sometimes short-notice Hours typically begin later in the day, but often extend later into the evening.
