Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct regular therapy sessions, offering support and psychotherapy to clients facing mental health challenges, particularly during their detoxification process.

• Communicate effectively with medical professionals, including physicians and addiction specialists, to report on patient progress, address needs, and discuss treatment strategies.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation, including clinical notes and treatment plans, in compliance with departmental policies and regulations.
\n
• Respond promptly to clients in crisis, employing de-escalation techniques and supportive intervention strategies to ensure client safety and well-being.
\n
• Assess and document clients' progress towards treatment goals, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans and interventions based on ongoing evaluations.
\n
• Collaborate with family members and support systems to discuss client treatment and aid in discharge planning as clients transition out of detox.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on clients undergoing detoxification treatment, which requires a strong understanding of addiction recovery and the psychological aspects of substance use disorders. You will work closely with individuals facing significant challenges, including mental health crises associated with withdrawal. Effective communication and empathy are essential in fostering trust and promoting recovery-oriented outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• An active state license as an LICSW or equivalent is necessary to practice independently.

• A minimum of three years of experience working in an outpatient setting, preferably with a focus on mental health and substance use issues.

• Ability to work independently, demonstrating self-direction and strong organizational skills.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic records systems, word processing software, spreadsheets, and email communication is essential for maintaining accurate documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in a detox or addiction treatment setting is highly preferred, as well as familiarity with evidence-based practices for treating co-occurring disorders. Skills in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care will set you apart as an ideal candidate.

Compensation and Benefits\n
