Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, including preliminary interviews and assessments, to identify clients' needs and challenges.

• Document all stages of client interactions, from initial consultations through the conclusion of treatment, ensuring accurate and confidential record-keeping.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect the client’s goals and therapeutic needs, including interventions for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging therapy sessions, both individually and in group settings, employing evidence-based methodologies tailored to client preferences.
\n
• Monitor client progress regularly, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes and ensure effective recovery.

• Collaborate with fellow mental health professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers, to coordinate care and refine intervention strategies.

• Follow up with healthcare providers for clients who may require hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care throughout their treatment journey.

• Support families and primary caregivers in managing mental and behavioral health challenges, providing them with tools to foster recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will primarily center on serving a diverse patient population, including adults facing depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction-related issues. You will also work with minors and families, adapting your approaches to fit the specific needs of various age groups and backgrounds. Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor with a focus on evidence-based practices.

• Proficient in using electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, to maintain client documentation and treatment plans.

• Understanding of various psychological and emotional health conditions and their implications on client care.
\n
• Strong familiarity with best practices as determined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse populations effectively.

• A compassionate and empathetic demeanor, with a proven ability to build therapeutic rapport.

Compensation and Benefits\n
