Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to ascertain the severity and impact of mood disorders, identifying tailored therapeutic needs.

• Work collaboratively with students to create individualized treatment plans that prioritize their unique emotional and psychological needs.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, employing methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) tailored specifically to the school environment.

• Educate students and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, coping strategies, and the importance of mental well-being in their lives.

• Track and evaluate client progress within the treatment framework, adjusting plans promptly based on ongoing assessments and feedback.

• Collaborate with school staff, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that students receive integrated, comprehensive care.

• Maintain adherence to state and federal regulations concerning documentation and record-keeping, ensuring confidentiality and ethical standards are upheld.

• Engage in regular professional development, staying informed about the latest clinical practices, research, and advancements in mental health care.

• Advocate for the mental health needs of students, working to decrease stigma around mood disorders within the school community.

• Participate actively in team meetings and case consultations to foster a collaborative approach to therapy and education.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses primarily on young students coping with mood disorders. You will address the unique challenges that these children face, including educational stress, family dynamics, and social pressures. Qualifications\n

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A valid license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT is required; candidates must demonstrate current and appropriate licensure to practice.

• A minimum of three years of clinical experience in a practicing environment focusing on mood disorders.
\n
• Expertise in clinically recognized treatment modalities, particularly those addressing mood disorders such as CBT and DBT.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including educators, psychiatrists, and other health professionals.

• Outstanding communication skills with a proven ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

• Additional experience working within school settings, especially familiarity with the challenges and frameworks of educational institutions.

• Two years or more of post-licensure clinical experience with a focus on therapeutic strategies tailored for children and adolescents.

• A track record of contributing to measurable outcomes in mood disorder treatment, such as improved academic performance or emotional stability in students.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 115,000 – 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
