Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to devise individualized treatment plans for clients.

• Utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to the unique needs of clients, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused short therapy.

• Facilitate individual, group, couples, and family therapy sessions that promote healing and personal growth.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate holistic care for clients.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily serve a diverse client population that includes children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a range of mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, trauma, and more. Your ability to provide culturally sensitive care will be essential as many clients may come from backgrounds with limited access to mental health resources.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut.

• A minimum of two years of direct counseling experience, preferably within a clinical setting.
