Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in beautiful Fort Myers Beach, renowned for its stunning coastlines and a vibrant community. Our facility is designed with patient comfort and rehabilitation success in mind, featuring spacious treatment areas and advanced therapeutic equipment. Working from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, you will collaborate closely with a passionate team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients to create individualized treatment plans targeting their functional limitations and disabilities.
• Maintain compliance with state practice acts, ensuring adherence to regulations governing physical therapy practices and supervisory roles.
• Perform evaluations that include reviewing medical history, executing targeted assessments, and documenting findings to establish a clear pathway for patient care.
• Implementation of treatment protocols based on evaluation results, adapting to the evolving needs of patients within the healthcare environment.
• Collaborate with other medical professionals as necessary to ensure comprehensive patient care and document any changes in a patient's condition requiring adjustments to care plans.
• Efficiently manage discharge planning and follow-up care, ensuring all documentation is both accurate and timely, reflecting a detailed account of the patient's progress throughout treatment.
• Complete required corporate and clinical services training, maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Deliver high-quality care efficiently by maintaining a robust patient schedule while supporting departmental productivity.
• Regularly attend relevant conferences, in-services, and team meetings to engage in continuous professional development and enhance service quality.
• Proactively identify and work to remove barriers affecting patient access to services and participate in organizational initiatives to improve rehabilitation access.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily includes individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions that affect their mobility and strength. You will work with a diverse array of patients ranging from athletes to elderly individuals, each with unique rehabilitation needs. Your role will involve crafting personalized treatment plans and exercising your clinical judgment to facilitate their recovery journey effectively.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Florida.
• A current CPR certification to ensure safety during patient care.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships with patients and their families, enhancing motivation and adherence to treatment plans.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in a rehabilitation or similar setting.
• Experience in utilizing digital tools or applications related to personal training or physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

The competitive annual salary for this role ranges from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
