Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the patient's physical function and develop personalized treatment plans aimed at restoring mobility and alleviating pain.
• Implement therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy techniques, exercise programs, and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
• Oversee and guide Physical Therapy Assistants in implementing treatment protocols, ensuring adherence to the established care plan.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary, documenting changes and communicating with the interdisciplinary team to optimize care.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercises, injury prevention strategies, and the use of assistive devices, fostering independence and self-management.
• Participate in case conferences and collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, to comply with organizational policies and legal requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients, including post-surgical recovery clients, sports injury cases, and individuals with chronic pain. You will work to develop tailored rehabilitation strategies that consider each patient's unique circumstances and goals. Cultivating strong relationships with patients, you will strive to enhance their functional outcomes and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid state license to practice Physical Therapy in Florida.
• Demonstrated understanding of orthopedic conditions and active rehabilitation practices.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues.
• Proficient in using electronic medical record systems and relevant therapy equipment.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Prior experience supervising Physical Therapy Assistants.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practice guidelines and rehabilitation protocols.
• Strong organizational skills and adaptability in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, contingent upon experience and qualifications.
