Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of mental health needs, developing individualized treatment plans that address a spectrum of behavioral health issues.

• Provide psychotherapy and counseling to individuals, couples, families, and groups dealing with emotional and psychological challenges associated with terminal illness.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary primary care team, ensuring effective communication across all levels, including other health care professionals, to coordinate comprehensive care.

• Ensure adherence to mental health policies and procedures, maintaining high standards for the behavioral health program.

• Perform intakes and evaluations for new patients, being responsive and courteous in addressing their needs.

• Engage in crisis intervention, applying effective techniques to support patients in distressful situations.

• Refer patients requiring specialized or inpatient care to appropriate facilities, ensuring they receive the necessary support.

• Screen patients for substance abuse issues, including prescription drugs and alcohol, and provide referrals to relevant resources within the local community.
