Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to accurately identify patients’ needs and collaboratively develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique situations.

• Utilize various evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy to assist clients in overcoming their mental health challenges.

• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops for individuals, couples, and families, creating opportunities for learning and building community support systems.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive and effective patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention services and emotional support for patients experiencing acute mental health crises.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential records to comply with legal and ethical standards, ensuring quality care is documented and easily accessible.

• Engage in continuous professional development through workshops and training, and remain current with the latest research and treatment methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on a diverse clientele dealing with a range of mental health conditions, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance abuse. The Mental Health Counselor should possess the cultural competency necessary to work effectively with individuals from various backgrounds and life circumstances, fostering an inclusive environment where every patient feels heard and valued.

Qualifications\n

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) within the state of Oregon.

• A Bachelor’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, or a related field is required. A Master’s or doctoral degree in the same fields is strongly preferred.

• Proficiency in various therapeutic approaches and techniques, with strong understanding and experience in housing evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of establishing trust and rapport with patients and colleagues.

Compensation and Benefits\n
